Coy Malone joined North Avenue Capital in January 2022 as a Commercial Lender in the Ponte Vedra, Florida office. Prior to joining NAC, Coy spent nine years with TIAA Bank in Jacksonville, Florida, as a commercial banking relationship manager. His responsibilities included sourcing a diverse group of banking clients and partnering with community development officers and portfolio managers to uncover credit requests. Several of his clients were small to midsize businesses, private foundations, colleges and universities, and private K-12 schools. Primarily responsible for sourcing new relationships for the bank, Coy was effective in retaining key partnerships by offering customized banking prices and competitive treasury management solutions.

Also, during his time at TIAA Bank, he served as director of bank sales integration. In this role, he was a business liaison and banking product strategist to TIAA’s financial consultants and investment brokers, identifying banking solutions and helping improve business outcomes.

Coy began his banking career in 1998 with NationsBank (now Bank of America) of Jacksonville, earning a certificate in Business from the American Bankers Association and a certificate in Commercial Lending from the Florida Bankers Association School of Lending. In addition, he completed Dale Carnegie Sales Training: Winning with Relationship Selling and, previously, held his Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity license.

Giving back to the community, Coy has facilitated financial fraud avoidance workshops and hosted a first-time homebuyer education workshop for the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie symposium. In addition, he and his wife, Michelle, facilitated relationship enrichment skills workshops for engaged and married couples.

Coy, Michelle, and their four children, Ian, Micah, Melodie, and Jace, reside in Jacksonville with their Labrador-terrier, Prince. The Malones enjoy their church community, traveling, geocaching, and rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
