Colin Walker joined North Avenue Capital in May 2023 as a Digital Marketing Specialist. He brings 12 years of experience in the communications and media field to his role, specializing in content creation, education, editing, and storytelling.

Prior to joining NAC, Colin was a tenured Associate Professor of Digital Production and the Quality Enhancement Plan Coordinator (QEP) for Valdosta State University. He was named a Chancellor’s Learning Scholar in 2020 by the University System of Georgia. In 2020, Colin also was awarded Best of Competition by the Broadcast Education Association in the Faculty Sports Audio competition for “The Blazer Spotlight” podcast, which he co-hosted and produced. He oversaw the university’s QEP efforts regarding experiential learning to assist with accreditation efforts, coordinating a team of faculty ambassadors to train other faculty across the institution. Colin also directed numerous live events at Valdosta State University, from soccer, volleyball, basketball, and football games to commencement ceremonies.

Colin was born in Syracuse, New York, and attended Marist College where he earned his B.A. in Communication with a concentration in Radio/TV/Film. He went on to earn his Master’s in Electronic Media Production from Central Michigan University and a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from Valdosta State University. Colin’s video marketing projects and sporting event productions have aired on athletic department websites, ESPN, the Golf Channel, VICE Sports, and other media outlets.

Colin lives in Hahira, Georgia with his wife Jennifer, daughter Stella, and their two dogs. In his spare time, he attends Valdosta First Methodist and enjoys spending time with his family, attending sporting events, and traveling. He serves as a Board Member for the Red Carpet of South Georgia that supports Moody Air Force Base airmen and their families. He also assists schools in the South Georgia region with media education efforts.
