Edgar Escobar joined North Avenue Capital in 2020 as a Client Relations Manager at the Florida headquarters. In late 2021, Edgar was promoted to Commercial Lender on the Inside Sales Team. He was promoted again in early 2023 to Vice President and Commercial Lender, and, a year later, he earned a Senior Commerical Lender title.
Prior to joining the NAC team, Edgar was with a sports software company, GotSoccer LLC, where he served as a Senior Account Manager. In this role, Edgar focused on sourcing and closing new deals with professional sports organizations, both domestically and globally. He also was responsible for servicing his large portfolio of clients on a day-to-day basis with new feature training, system troubleshooting, and technology development requests related to the GotSoccer product. During his tenure, his clientele included powerhouse organizations, such as the MLS, NBA, MLB, USL, and more.
Edgar earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Management from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. While at McDaniel, Edgar was a four-year member of the men’s soccer team.
Edgar and his wife, Sarah, live in Jacksonville, Florida, and have a Labrador mix puppy, Tyson. When Edgar is not in the office, he enjoys going to the beach, taking Tyson for long walks, watching sports, trying new local restaurants, and playing soccer. Edgar and Sarah both hail from Silver Spring, Maryland, and enjoy traveling back to the Northeast for vacation and around the holidays to be with family and friends.
