Jason Hoerr joined North Avenue Capital as a Commercial Lender in 2018, specializing in business development, financial analysis, debt financing, deal structuring, and investment opportunities. He is based out of the Ponte Vedra, Florida office. In 2020, Jason became Vice President of North Avenue Capital and was promoted once more, in 2022, to Market President-Production on a nationwide level.

Prior to joining NAC, Jason worked in international trade and trade finance at Nationwide Group in Jacksonville, Florida (2014 – 2015) and HALO Global (2015 – 2018) in Charlotte, North Carolina.

At Nationwide and HALO, Jason was Executive Director of International Business and led the Deal Team at both firms. He specialized in sourcing and structuring complex debt-based trade finance deals with private corporations and local banks throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Jason traveled extensively throughout the Continent in order to source, structure, and negotiate deals. He managed an active pipeline of more than $100 million, closing deals in Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Rwanda in the construction, technology, marine transport, and commodity sectors.

Before moving onto the deal side of the business, Jason was Co-Founder and Managing Director of FX Evolve from 2011 – 2014, a market research and analysis firm that provided daily market analysis to private U.S. and Global traders. The firm focused on short-term price movements in the liquid G-10 FX suite. He previously held the Series 3, 34, 30, and 65 FINRA licenses.

Jason started his career as a secondary school English instructor at Comenius School for Creative Leadership. In 2017, he served on the Board of Directors for North Jacksonville STEM, a startup public charter school seeking initial licensure and approval with the Duval County School Board. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from Illinois State University.

Jason, Beth, and their four children, Micah, Xavier, Eliza, and Veda live near Atlantic Beach in Jacksonville. In 2022, he was appointed to the National Alliance of Commercial Loan Brokers (NACLB) Advisory Board.
