Katie Beall joined North Avenue Capital in February 2022 as the Marketing Specialist. She brings 14 years of experience in the communications and media relations field to her role, specializing in content writing, copy editing, brand messaging, and storytelling.
Prior to joining NAC, Katie was the managing editor of Aroundabout Local Media, which publishes five hyperlocal monthly magazines in Georgia’s Cherokee and Cobb counties. She oversaw the processes of all five metro Atlanta publications, planning content and topics for each issue, and assigning story ideas to feature writers. She wrote cover, advertorial, and feature articles, which involved telling the stories of small businesses in the community. She was responsible for editing and proofing all content, working closely with the art director, page designer, and photographers on layout and designing the desired look and feel of each publication.
Katie spent four years in corporate communications with the Acosta Sales & Marketing Walmart Team in Rogers, Arkansas. She spearheaded all monthly community service initiatives for the local Acosta office, consisting of 160 associates, and maintained internal communications channels for the Acosta Walmart Team, which included 5,000 associates nationwide.
Previously, she worked in athletic communications and media relations at the collegiate level for seven years. Katie served as the primary media relations/public relations contact for various sports teams, wrote press releases, created game notes for media members, crafted content for team and athletic department social media accounts, and advised coaches and student-athletes before interviews and press conferences.
The Georgia native is a two-time graduate of Georgia College & State University with a bachelor’s in mass communication with a concentration in public relations and a master’s in public administration.
Katie lives in Winder, Georgia with her husband, David, and their two daughters, Parker Grace and Maddie Beth. In her spare time, Katie enjoys reading, staying active, and watching her young children discover the world around them, while simultaneously attempting to keep up with them.
