Keelan Muir French is the Senior Correspondent Banker for North Avenue Capital. She has 18 years of experience working in numerous areas of finance and in multiple markets specializing in portfolio management and asset optimization utilizing fixed income trading strategies.
At North Avenue Capital, Ms. French partners with financial institutions throughout the nation to increase yield for their portfolio utilizing North Avenue Capital’s fixed income product offerings. She is also focused on partnering with small-medium size banks and credit unions to provide capital to their commercial customers through the USDA Rural Development Program.
Prior to joining North Avenue Capital, Ms. French served as a Vice President for Carty & Company in their Institutional Fixed Income department. She partnered with Community Banks across the nation helping them manage their bond portfolio. She also was with Morgan Stanley for 13 years as a Vice President in their Institutional Equity department in New York, NY. At Morgan Stanley she worked as Controller for various Equity trading desks and was part of the team to open their first Brazil office in Sao Paulo. Ms. French began her career as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst & Young in Audit.
Ms. French earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Michigan State University and she earned her Masters of Business Administration from Fordham University. She is FINRA Series 7 & 63 General Securities licensed.
Keelan lives in Memphis, TN with her husband William, their twins Kaylan & Will and their youngest daughter Katherine. She is active in her community volunteering with several non-profits including ‘Heads Up’ Football Camp, the Dixon Gallery & Gardens, and the Children’s Museum of Memphis. Every winter their family hosts a Wounded Warriors in Action long weekend at their family farm for four servicemen injured in the line of duty.
