Keelan Muir French was promoted to Senior Vice President, Director of Capital Markets in 2023 at North Avenue Capital. Previously, she held the position of Vice President – Head of Secondary Markets. She has more than 18 years of experience working in numerous areas of finance and in multiple markets, specializing in portfolio management and asset optimization utilizing fixed income trading strategies.

At North Avenue Capital, Keelan partners with financial institutions nationwide to increase yield for their portfolio by utilizing NAC’s fixed income product offerings. She also is focused on partnering with small-medium size banks and credit unions to provide capital to their commercial customers through the USDA Rural Development Program.

Prior to joining NAC, Keelan served as a Vice President for Carty & Company in its Institutional Fixed Income department. She partnered with Community Banks across the nation, helping them manage their bond portfolio. She also was with Morgan Stanley for 13 years as a Vice President in its Institutional Equity department in New York City. At Morgan Stanley, she worked as Controller for various equity trading desks and was part of the team to open the company’s first Brazil office in Sao Paulo. Keelan began her career as a Certified Public Accountant for Ernst & Young in Audit.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Michigan State University, and she earned her Masters of Business Administration from Fordham University. She is FINRA Series 7 & 63 General Securities licensed.

Keelan lives in Memphis, Tennessee, with her husband William, their twins Kaylan and Will and their youngest daughter Katherine. She is active in her community volunteering with several nonprofits including Heads Up Football Camp, the Dixon Gallery and Gardens, and the Children’s Museum of Memphis. Every winter Keelan’s family hosts a Wounded Warriors in Action long weekend at her family’s farm for four servicemen injured in the line of duty.
