Maria Juliana Fueyo

Maria Juliana Fueyo was promoted to Vice President and Credit Products Officer in early 2023. She joined North Avenue Capital as a Loan Architect in 2018 in the Ponte Vedra, Florida office. During 2019 and 2020, she completed a dual master’s degree program at Jacksonville University. In 2021, Juliana became a Senior Loan Architect at NAC. She specializes in deal structuring, market research, equity analysis, credit and operational analysis, and financial modeling. She also is trained in R, Oracle SQL, and Python.

Prior to joining the team at NAC, Juliana graduated summa cum laude with degrees in finance and economics from JU. She was awarded Outstanding Student of the Year in Finance, Outstanding Student of the Year in Economics, and Student of the Year for the Davis College of Business. While at JU, Juliana competed as an NCAA Division I athlete for the women’s golf team. She was a two-time All-American honoree and made the ASUN Conference Honor Roll all four years.

In addition, Juliana was an analyst for the Dolphin Student Investment Fund (DSIF), where she designed long-term investment strategies, conducted in-depth securities analyses, and presented securities research reports. DSIF achieved a 16.79% annual return during Juliana’s management tenure.

She participated in the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge, an annual, global competition in which more than 1,200 universities participate. Juliana and the JU team won the local competition on their way to becoming Florida State Champions. From there, the team won the America’s Regional in Boston and competed as one of the five finalists at the global level in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There the team became the 2018 CFA Research Challenge Global Runner-up.

Maria Juliana Fueyo is originally from Argentina, where her family still resides. She lives in Ponte Vedra Beach with her husband, Matt. When she’s not researching stocks or underwriting loans, she enjoys playing sports, traveling, and spending time at the beach. Juliana also is an active member of Global Shapers Jacksonville Hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
