Maria Juliana Fueyo joined North Avenue Capital as an Operations Research Analyst in 2018 in the Ponte Vedra, Florida office. She specializes in financial statements and financial analysis. In 2021, Maria Juliana was promoted to Senior Loan Architect. 

Prior to joining the team at NAC, Maria Juliana attended Jacksonville University (JU), where she graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Finance and Economics. She was an analyst for the Dolphin Student Investment Fund (DSIF), an endowment fund with $700,000 invested primarily in U.S. equities and ETFs. She designed long-term investment strategies, conducted in-depth securities analysis, and presented securities research reports. DSIF achieved a 16.79% annual return during Maria Juliana's management tenure.

Maria Juliana participated in the prestigious CFA Institute Research Challenge, an annual, global competition in which more than 1,400 universities participated. The Research Challenge tests the equity research and valuation, investment report writing, and presentation skills of university students across the globe. Maria Juliana and the JU team won the local competition on their way to becoming Florida State Champions. From there, the team won America's Regional in Boston and competed as one of the five finalists on the global level in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. There the team became the 2018 CFA Research Challenge Global Runner-up.

During Maria Juliana's time at JU, she also competed as an NCAA Division I athlete for the women’s golf team. She earned All-American honors twice and was named to the ASUN Academic Honor Roll all four years. In 2016, she was recognized as a Top 40 Business Student by Advantage Business Magazine. In 2017, she received a scholarship from Argentina's Rosario Board of Trade (BCR) to complete its Graduate Training Program. She received intensive training in the operation of commodities markets, as well as the derivatives industry. In 2018, Maria Juliana was awarded Student of the Year in Finance, Student of the Year in Economics, and Student of the Year of the Davis College of Business.

Maria Juliana is originally from Argentina, where her family still resides. When she's not researching stocks or underwriting loans, she enjoys playing sports and spending time at the beach.
